BONTANG – Badak LNG has undergone an audit of the Occupational Safety and Health Management System (SMK3) by the external party PT Surveyor Indonesia in accordance with the provisions stipulated in Government Regulation Number 50 of 2012.

The results of the audit which lasted for 3 days started on Tuesday (3/10 /2023) until Thursday (5/10/2023) reached a satisfactory level with a total score of 94.58%. The aim of the SMK3 audit was to see the implementation of Badak LNG in providing an understanding of SMK3 within the Company.

Audits are carried out by involving integrated elements of management, workers, working conditions and environment in order to prevent and reduce work accidents, as well as to create a safe, efficient and productive workplace. Carrying out the SMK3 audit reflects Badak LNG’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards in occupational safety and health within the Company. The satisfactory audit results also illustrate Badak LNG’s strong dedication in prioritizing occupational safety and health.

In addition, achieving a high score shows that Badak LNG complies with applicable SMK3 regulations and standards, and Badak LNG has succeeded in identifying and overcoming potential risks related to occupational safety and health. Nurakmal, Lead Auditor of PT Surveyor Indonesia, emphasized that Badak LNG has implemented SMK3 very well.

“I congratulate you on the achievement of the Badak LNG SMK3 audit which achieved a satisfactory score. We can feel the high commitment from Badak LNG with the excellent implementation of SMK3. I hope this commitment can continue to increase,” emphasized Nurakmal in his statement, Thursday (12/10).

Meanwhile, Ferry Sulistyo Nugroho, Act. Badak LNG COO added that the success of the SMK3 audit this year was a trigger for Badak LNG to continue to improve SHEQ performance within the Company. “It is hoped that this achievement will spur our enthusiasm to continue to increase attention to occupational safety and health within the Company,” said Feri.
